I do not know if you loose something all the time or not, it is too bad if you lost your camera because you may have some private photos inside. I found a website that can help you find camera that you lost.
Stolen Camera Finder is a search site that uses two ways to help you find lost camera. One is type your camera serials number in search bar, it will search on the internet, maybe find someone uses it. Another one is to drag your photo that you took by that lost camera to server, it will search online and compare photo's exif data if it fond. It does not mean 100% you can find your camera, only available is someone used it and post photo on the internet.
